More about the artwork
Ocean Forest
This collage uses natural dried items from the Atlantic Ocean to the dunes north of Fort Lauderdale, FL. The piece encapsulates the movement of the breakers to the wind-blown gasses on the dunes. It also holds the changing of the seasons in Florida by including dune growing plants throughout an entire year. The piece was started in 2008 and finished in 2014 after exposure to a year of art therapy. Art therapy helped me cross the boundary from technique to original personal art expression.
